BuildMeasure is an independent information website. It is not a licensed contractor, engineer, architect, building inspector or government authority, and nothing on this site is professional advice. Every result is a planning estimate to be confirmed with your supplier or a qualified professional.

How calculators are built

Every formula is written as standalone, versioned code with automated unit tests, including worked examples calculated by hand. Formula changes increment the version shown on each calculator page.

Regional pages are adapted for each country's measurement conventions, material sizes, terminology and tax treatment — not mechanically duplicated.
